The Free Market Warrior: Loren SpivackBCS Tea Party Meeting
Thursday, Nov. 19
6:00PM eat & greet | 6:30PM meeting starts
C&J BBQ in Bryan, TX (1010 S Texas Ave)

RSVP on Facebook

Loren Spivack, “Free Market Warrior”, author and speaker will speak about Dumping Keynes: Where We as a Nation Went Wrong in Our Economic Policy and it will cover the following points:

  1. Can you explain why some tax cuts (Bush’s second term, Obama’s proposed) do absolutely nothing to stimulate the economy, while others (Reagan’s, Bush’s first term) provide a great stimulus?
  2. Were you taught in High School that the federal government needs to protect consumers from corporate monopolies that would otherwise be able to charge whatever they wanted?
  3. Were you taught that Roosevelt’s New Deal saved the country by intervening in the economy and “stimulating” demand?
  4. Did you know that the biggest problem with American healthcare (one that is financially hurting us all) is that there is far too much insurance coverage?
  5. Would you be surprised to learn that the economic theories espoused by the current administration and congressional leaders were conclusively disproved more than 100 years ago?

He conducts “Economic Literacy” seminars across the United States. So far, Spivack has delivered his famous seminar on “Economic Literacy to almost 300 groups in 24 states.

He is also the author of “The New Democrat” a parody history of the Obama administration, based on a famous children’s book. With pitch-perfect rhyme and clever illustrations, “The New Democrat” transforms the political personalities of our times into cartoon characters in a conservative morality play. Spivack’s second book “The Gorax” is a parody of the environmental movement. Starring Al Gore as the misguided gremlin who uses government to destroy prosperity without ever accomplishing even his own goals. Mr. Spivack’s latest book is “The Wizard of IZ: A parody of Hillary’s America”.

B/CS Tea Party July Meeting — Your Freedom To Travel In Texas Is At Risk!

Texans Uniting for Reform and FreedomThursday, July 16
6:00PM eat & greet | 6:30PM meeting starts
C&J BBQ in Bryan, TX (1010 S Texas Ave)

Speaker: Terri Hall
Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom (TURF)

  • Can you afford to pay 50 cents a mile to use our public highways?
  • How are property rights being threatened by the proposed high speed rail plan?

Come get answers!

The main reason Texans are stuck in traffic is a massive failure in public road policy. Between inefficiencies at TxDOT, the failure to end the practice of diverting road funds to other purposes, and overall lack of prioritizing roads in the state budget, lawmakers have relied on tolling — even imposing tolls on existing or paid-for roads — to pay for road expansion. It’ll cost Texans dearly — the equivalent of adding $17 to every gallon of gas you buy. Come find out how this policy will affect you and what you can do about it.

TURF’s mission is to educate people on government encroachment of our freedoms relating to property rights and freedom to travel. texasturf.org

6:00PM  eat & greet
6:30PM  meeting starts
C&J BBQ in Bryan, TX (1010 S Texas Ave)

Speaker: Ray Myers, Kaufman County Tea Party

Ray will give an overview of the cost of the illegal invasion on the citizens of Texas and the USA. We go into the facts of how Rick Perry and the House Leadership of our State Legislature are catering into the hands of the amnesty proponents. Ray will also go into the recent surge and the dog and pony show that was displayed on the southern Rio Grande. It will also discuss the future illegals from the Middle East (ISIS) and how the Obama administration plans to place them into our country.

Ray will also have a video displaying actual illegals coming into Rockwall County on buses from Mexico. This is very compelling – the pictures don’t lie. In conclusion, Ray will suggest a strategy being played in our State Legislature now with a plan to deal with the issue of the Federal Government – “NOT DOING ITS JOB!”

Ray Myers is from Forney, Texas. He’s founded the Kaufman County Tea Party. He has been featured by Neal Cavuto & Greta Van Susteren in DC fighting Obama Care. He is working with a team of State-wide leaders to implement a State Tea Party Communication Network called, “Saddle Up Texas”.

March Monthly Meeting

February was a whirlwind of events and learning, probably a record number for our group in a single month. As the 2012 elections approach, and all we need to do to prepare for it adds up, we need to not only keep up our energy and stamina but be prepared to increase it each month until then.

Our speaker for the March meeting is businessman and College Station Councilman Jess Fields. Councilman Fields will be updating us on College Station’s progress scraping off the influence of ICLEI/Agenda 21. Follow the link for background articles on this misguided, so-called “environmental” organization.

Star Parker: “Uncle Sam’s Plantation: How Big Government Enslaves the Poor”

Monday, February 27, 6:00-7:30 pm
Rudder Theatre

The Texas Aggie Conservatives (thanks!!) are presenting Star Parker as keynote speaker for their First Annual Social Justice Program.

Where do we begin in describing this amazing lady? Here’s the first few paragraphs of her organization’s website:

Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit think tank which promotes market based public policy to fight poverty.

Before involvement in social activism, Star Parker had seven years of first-hand experience in the grip of welfare dependency. Now, as a social policy consultant, Star is bringing new energy to policy discussions on how to transition America’s poor from government dependency.

She is a sought after expert on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and for national radio, television, and print interviews, nationwide.

A number of us got to hear Star’s speech here last week. It is hard to fully express how much everyone  within driving distance should come to this event!

Here’s the Facebook Event Page. Please sign up!

We will also have a preview of the Wallbuilder’s dvd library that will be featured in our upcoming dvd meet-ups. [To be scheduled]

Kristopher Cowles will also give a presentation about American Exceptionalism.
