February Meeting Announcement

Bryan / College Station Tea Party meeting on Thursday, February 21, 6:30 PM, will be held at Outback Steakhouse, 2102 Texas Avenue South, in College Station, TX.

The 86th Texas Legislative Session is in progress. Property Tax Reform, Election Integrity, Constitutional Carry and School Finance Reform are only a few of the items of interest for this Session.

The Texas Freedom Caucus includes members of the Texas House of Representatives that are committed to amplifying the voice of liberty-minded, grassroots Texans who want bold action to protect life, strengthen families, defend the U.S. and Texas Bills of Rights, restrain government and revitalize personal and economic freedoms in the State of Texas.

Our meeting will feature a presentation by Teresa Beckmeyer, Grassroots Director for the Texas Freedom Caucus, to explain issues the Texas Freedom Caucus is focusing on and an overall update on what has been happening in the current legislative session. (More about Teresa Below)

Teresa Beckmeyer is the Grassroots Director for the Texas Freedom Caucus. She served as the Executive Director of Lone Star Voice, a statewide non-profit that educates and trains citizens to become more active in their local and state governments. For the past 15 years, she has been actively involved in the political arena serving in many volunteer capacities at the state and local levels, as well as working as a consultant for private citizens and campaigns. She has served many years as the Chair of the Mitchell Co. Republican Party, is a past regional director of the Texas Republican Co. Chairman’s Association and was a founding member of the Texas Conservative Grassroots Coalition.
