Bryan College Station Tea Party meeting on Thursday, August 16, 6:30 PM, will be held at Outback Steakhouse, 2102 Texas Avenue South, in College Station, TX.

Texas State Constitution – Article 6, Section 4:

“In all elections by the people, the vote shall be by ballot, and the Legislature shall provide for the numbering of tickets and make such other regulations as may be necessary to detect and punish fraud and preserve the purity of the ballot box…” (emphasis added)

The requirement for numbering of ballots and other regulations as may be necessary provides a means for verifiable results for elections in Texas.  Even without knowledge of this statute, most if not all folks go the voting booth expecting a true accounting of votes and accurate election outcomes. After all, this is Texas and there ain’t no cheat’n go’in on here!
