Some points the class covers:

  • We the People created, through the Constitution, a federal government. What powers did we allow that federal government to have? (Hint: only a few, defined powers were allowed.)
  • What powers did we reserve for ourselves, and to the States? (Hint: everything else.)
  • What must we do when the federal government usurps its allowed areas of authority?

More

The relationship between the citizens, “We the People”, and government in the United States of America is defined by the U.S. Constitution.  The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America and is the source of basic principles for all (legitimate) U.S. law.

In maintaining a relationship with government, our culture typically utilizes the endless chatter of politicians and pundits as the source for understanding and interpretation of legal points for current issues. Why is this acceptable procedure? Reasonable adults want to have a solid opinion, but have little time to devote to research and are confused by all the noise generated by those that seek our attention and allegiance.

There is a better way to understand the right and wrong of matters that come before us day to day. The principles and straightforward instruction of the U.S. Constitution provide the tools to interpret the issues of our time. The time we have remaining as a free people will be determined by the resolve and determination we display in returning our nation to those principles.

Please join us to learn the basic principles of the U.S. Constitution at the Constitution Boot Camp to be held on September 23, 2017.
