Independence Forever

With these words, Patriot, Founding Father, Continental Congress member, and President, John Adams toasted the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1836.

The simplicity of Independence Forever is both a celebration and a warning.

“But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams
July 17, 1775

The Heritage Foundation is calling upon everyone to add reading the Declaration of Independence to their list of celebratory events this July 4th.

The June 5th meeting of the Bryan/College Station Tea Party will feature a celebration of our Declaration of Independence.

Please plan on attending this meeting as a part of your July 4th – Independence Day Celebration.
