Senator Rand Paul (KY) gave this Senate speech yesterday, March 30, 2011 in which he outlines the Constitutional rules concerning war which reveals the constitutional contempt of President Obama’s war on Libya. As stated by National Review’s Robert Costa, “To make his point, Paul quoted, in the legislative language from Obama’s 2007 remarks on the subject,

‘The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.’

Of course, that was the Democrat Party effort to rewrite history as President Bush did not act unilaterally at any time; presenting his case for war to both Congress and the UN and receiving approval from each.

What Obama’s 2007 statement does reveal is that he is extremely cognizant of the unconstitutional nature of his own Libyan war effort, but as is the case with a lawless man – he cares not for he exists in contempt of law.
