The historical precedent for the Tea Party Movement

Our first thoughts today are prayers for and condolences to the families and friends of the victims of yesterday’s terrible shootings in Arizona. We pray for God’s healing of Rep. Giffords and the others wounded; and for the comfort that only He can provide for those who have lost loved ones, that they “will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7 NLT) This is the only thing that can comfort these dear people in their agony and loss.

Seeking what is best for the nation and its people, for over 200 years.

Seeking the best for all

Praying for those mourning in their time of need reminds us how the Tea Party, as a whole, seeks what is best for people, best for their families and children and future generations. To that end, I wrote an article a few weeks ago outlining the historical background and precedent for what we are doing. Today that article appears on my favorite Texas political website, Ramparts 360, titled Mission Possible: Tea Party Across America. Enjoy!

Edit 1-12-11: It looks like this article was also picked up by Texas Insider. :-)
